Kenya’s location along the Equator provides a climate that is suitable for growing coffee. Kenya grows 99% Arabica coffee. The deep fertile volcanic and well-drained soils at high elevations are especially suited for Arabica coffee. It’s typically grown at 1220 meters above sea level. These soils are also acidic, with a pH between 5.3 and 6.0.
